From the hockey field to the battlefield, the team which lost half its players in WW1. Looking resplendent in their striped hockey blazers, and older than their tender years suggest, the ten cadets shown here in a sports team photograph during their officer training, were among the first waves of volunteers to sign up after the outbreak of the Great War.
